Aegean Afternoon

Something small, saved from a summer far from home.

About the Piece

Found in İzmir, Turkey, this flower had already begun to dry in the summer heat when it was collected. Its colors changed along the way, fading from brighter tones into the warm amber, pink, and gold that now sit inside the pendant. Instead of trying to restore the flower to what it once looked like, those changes became part of the piece. Set in an oval gold frame and preserved in resin, it holds onto a little piece of an İzmir summer long after the season has passed.

Care Instructions

• Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent further fading.
• Avoid water, perfume, alcohol, and other harsh chemicals.
• Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
