After the Bloom

Not every flower has to stay whole to be worth keeping.

About the Piece

Found in Fairfield, Connecticut, this small purple petal had already fallen when it was collected. Its curled shape and uneven edges were kept as they were rather than trimmed into something more symmetrical. Preserved in clear resin and set in a simple gold frame, the petal almost looks like it's still caught mid-fall. A few tiny bubbles and variations in the resin remain from the handmade process—small reminders that this piece was made by someone learning the craft, not by a machine.
